This is a one day digital SLR course for groups of up to 8 people taken by a professional photographer showing you the tips and tricks of the trade. The course will suit anyone from the total beginner to the more experienced photographer. Locally courses are run in the Kibworth area of Leicester close to the picturesque town of Market Harborough and Foxton Locks. Other areas of Leicester can be covered by arrangement. The One Day Group Photography Tuition courses usually run from 10am to about 5.00pm. If you would like to include night-time photography then they later and go on into the evening.

Group Photography Courses are generally run with a maximum of 8 participants but larger groups can be catered for depending on the training required and the facilities available. The group organisor will need to provide and fund a suitable training room plus any catering. We do have our own projection system if required.

Charges for up to eight students within Leicestershire are:

  • Monday -Friday £800 per day
  • Saturday or Sunday £1000 per day
  • Additional students are £125 each plus 15mins extra per person.

As a guide for courses outside Leicestershire there is an additional charge for time and travel plus any incurred expenses such as overnight accommodation or parking. Travel time is £25 per hour pus 40 pence per mile. A non refundable deposit of £100 will secure the event with the full balance due in advance of the course.

These Digital Photography Courses will teach you more in one day than you could pick up in months of night school classes.

Learn how to photograph the things you wish from £800 per group to a maximum of 8 within Leicestershire. Travel outside Leicestershire is charged at £0.40 pence per mile plus any additional expenses such as parking, tolls or accommodation.

  • Fully charged batteries and /or spare batteries
  • Memory card with enough space for 100 pictures
  • Any other lenses or flashguns
  • Tripod for night photography courses

These courses are very useful if you are want to specialize in photographing a particular subject or you are going on a very special holiday. Previous course have specialized in:

These intensive courses will suit anyone from the complete novice to intermediate photographer. Many photographers tend to use their camera on the full auto setting and want to learn how to get much better pictures from their new camera by using the other settings.

All the courses start off with the absolute basics and progress, step by step, through to some of the more technical aspects. Each theoretical lesson is followed by a demonstration then a practical session.

At the end of the day the images are put onto a PC for viewing, constructive criticism and there is a short photo editing tutorial.

Typical Timings: 9.45-5.00pm (can run a bit later if required)

  • 9.45 -10.00 Introductions coffee and biscuits

  • 10.00 prompt start - camera settings and theory

  • 1.00 pm light lunch ( provided )

  • 1.45 pm Afternoon session - Practical photography
