A normal landscape image without HDR or Image Blending |
The same image blended from 3 different images using HDR |
HDR - High Dynamic Range - is a specialist technique which uses several different exposures of the same image blended together in Photoshop to produce a single photograph with a much greater range of tones than is possible from a single exposure. It is ideal for landscape photography, especially when shooting into the sun, where the sky often appears washed out and boring. This hands on workshop will cover all the camera and Photoshop skills needed to produce stunning landscapes.
This is a special advanced Landscape HDR Photography & Photoshop Workshop on Sunday 21st March 2010. This course is limited to 3 or 4 students who are confident with their camera or who have attended a previous course. Your own laptop computer with any version of Photoshop installed and a tripod would be very helpful but we do have limited spares. Because this is an advanced course with only three students booking is essential at a cost £197 per person. This course is also available Monday to Friday as a one to one private tuition session for £295 or on our recommended package of £395 for two students with our bring a friend offer. See here for more details.
It will concentrate on landscape photography composition & lighting using HDR and RAW photography techniques to get highest possible dynamic lighting range out of a landscape photograph. This will be followed by a Photoshop tutorial showing you how the professionals create stunning landscape photographs you would be proud to hang on your wall. It runs from 10am - 5.00pm and includes lunch. The cost is £197 per person but due to the limited spaces please phone 0116 2796906 or email to reserve a space.
